Dulce Brocheure

Size: 8.5x11

 Idea: I wanted to showcase the process of creating my font Dulce. I created this brochure to highlight each element I used to create the font. It showcases my process but it also showcases how I would use my font in a design.
Process: Sketching then I implemented my pervious designs with the same color scheme and then I took the photo of the spatula then I started the design process.

Fragments of  Chicago

Size: 7x7x5  
Medium: Mixed Media

 Idea:  Bauhaus was an amazing art movement focusing on geometric and abstract shapes. I wanted to apply their ideology to real world art. I based this model of of the Chicago skyline and I wanted to implement the iconic bean with this.
Process: I used acrylic and made new different buildings to form the design. 

Sun's Cycle

Size:4x7  
Medium: Adobe Illustrator and Physical

 Idea:   The Sun's Cycle is a pop-up book that shows different rooms of a house through window-shaped cutouts. Each panel reveals a unique space with changes in color and light, showing how rooms feel at different times of day. The project highlights the beauty of everyday spaces and how we view them from the outside.
Process: I created sketches for each room, created in illustrator and then cut out the windows with the laser cutter and formed the card.

Collections of Summer

Size: 2x4, 8.5x11
Medium: Adobe Illustrator

Idea:  During the transition of Spring to Summer, there is a lot of moments of reflection. I wanted to created a transition piece between the seasons and this what came out of it. I based the flower of my home country: Dominican Republic and the national flower: Bayahibe Rose.
Process: With the general concept of the flower I made a woodblock print with a sheet of paper, scanned it, and use the texture to the create this art work.

Empire Stamp Building

Idea:  I wanted to develop a more abstracted version of the empire state building. I wanted to tie in a more simplified version of such an important landmark but also tie in some of the key interior and exterior details. 
Process: I created overall shape outline of the building and created woodblocks of the repeated patterns. After developing the base design I scanned the paper which later implement on adobe illustrator where I included the building title.

Cosmic House

Idea:  I wanted to develop a more abstracted version of the cosmic house, but also implemented some of the atmospherical aspects. I also wanted to have the general outline of the exterior shaoe but also tie in some of the key interior patterns. 
Process: I created overall shape outline of the building and cut out patterns on paper. After developing the base design I scanned the paper which later implement on adobe illustrator where I included the building title.
